When we mention solar panels it is usually associated with creation of electricity, but solar panels can be used for heating as well. Water heating in the older solar panels generation, was usually inefficient mainly because of the random flow of fluids in the system. This makes it inefficient since the system should have heated more water in the system than usually needed. That way the system was wearing much faster and we had to wait much longer for hot water.

The new generation of flow control systems simply take much less water (as much as needed) and heat this smaller amount to the right level of temperature needed. The simple method of doing that is by using two sensors, one in the entry point to the panel that measures the heat of the incoming water or fluids and the other at the exit point (the one the puts the water back into the pool of heated water).

That way the system will not put new water into the heating area until the water inside didn’t reach to the right and desired temperature. Only when the water inside reached to the desired level, the second sensor will signal to the system that it can release the heated water and circulate new water into the heating area. This process provides much faster heating times, more efficiency and less wear.

Water heating is one of the basic and elementary usages of energy at any family. Using the power of the sun by installing a solar water heating system is easy and very cost effective. The only thing to make sure is to install a new generation system that will not wear fast.
